Professor Felix Hammond has extensive experience in delivering fast and reliable professional valuation, land administration and real estate engagements. With over 26 years as a GhIS Certified Valuer and real estate practitioner, Felix brings strong expertise in single asset valuations, portfolio valuations, property management and property investment appraisal involving the full spectrum of property assets including raw land, hotels, residential, retail, industrial, offices and raw land. Professor Hammond is very strong in discounted cashflow valuation modelling along with depreciated replacement cost, income capitalization, development appraisal and profit approaches to valuation.

Felix has since 2013 served as the Managing Director of Property Databank Ghana Ltd (trading as PDB), a leading end-to-end real estate services firm, and is responsible for leading its major valuation and real estate engagements. Over the past two and a half decades, Felix has provided professional real estate service for a spectrum of clients including lenders, owners, investors and developers, across the public, private and social sectors throughout Ghana. Some of the major firms that he has provided professional services for include PwC, Stanbic Bank, ADB Bank, Bank of Africa, CBD Bank, Zoomlion Ghana Ltd, Lands Commission, and AH Hotel.

Previously, Felix worked with the Lands Commission of Ghana between 1995 and 2003 as a senior Lands Officer in Greater Accra, Brong Ahafo, Volta Region, Ashanti Region and the Headquarters. In that role, he led 100s of major professional land administration and valuation engagements involving a range of property assets including industrial, Hotels and commercial facilities for a range of purposes including compensation, surrender & renewal and premium assessments. He also served as a real estate expert on a number of World Bank-funded projects such as the Land Administration Project (LAP) which involved streamlining valuation practices in Ghana.

Afterwards, he held a number of academic positions including course manager for Property Asset Management and module leader for introduction to valuation, applied valuation, advanced valuation and property investment appraisal, Director of PhD studies and Associate Professor (Reader) in real estate economics and finance with the University of Wolverhampton, UK. He was subsequently appointed a Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at Pentecost University. Felix is currently an external assessor for KNUST’s land economy and real estate programmes.

As a Fellow of GhIS, Professor Hammond adheres to the International Valuation Standards (IVS) in the performance of valuation engagements.
